[edit]Recommendations/suggestions for improvement? Although I am not the original author, I have been tasked with finding quality references for a number of statements made in this article, and will definitely entertain ideas on how to improve it. Thanks!MrZbignew (talk) 19:18, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
MILHIST assessment
[edit]This is a solid article with a misleading title. It seems to be purely about the American armed forces. Military nutrition existed before 1775 and in other armies. Recommend renaming to History of Nutrition in US Armed Services or similarMonstrelet (talk) 17:45, 12 June 2010 (UTC)
- Though the same when I saw it, have done so. GraemeLeggett (talk) 16:23, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
A couple of suggestions
[edit]I have removed the review template as the article seems generally fine. I have a couple of suggestions for improvement which you may decide to use or may not:
- use of the {{cite web}} will embed the url links in the citations themselves and give the article a "cleaner" look in my opinion;
- the quotation marks should be straight, not stylised or curly according to the WP:MOS (this is not a major thing, just something you could fix if you have time);
- the lead should be expanded a bit more (can be up to four paragraphs) so as to adequately summarise the article;
- the addition of a couple of images would break up the text a little and serve to make it a bit more visually appealing.
Anyway, good work so far. Cheers.—AustralianRupert (talk) 01:00, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
Thanks!

Title still misleading
[edit]Why is it titled "US Military" when it's actually about the US Army? 2601:600:C300:361D:78FA:EAFA:93A8:CF02 (talk) 06:36, 30 November 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Is it right to put the controversy section in the article? There is one report available. Ahri Boy (talk) 04:41, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
