Olympic wrestler?

The intro claims Aoki was an "Olympic wrestler", but the body of the article states that he qualified for the Olympics but did not compete. To my mind, the plain meaning of "Olympic wrestler" is someone who goes to the Olympics as a competitor. I think there's an argument to be made that someone who did not compete could be deemed an Olympic wrestler if he was scheduled to compete but was scratched for an injury or other reason. It might also be appropriate if he attended the Olympics as an alternate. But I don't think he should be described as an Olympic wrestler if he qualified for the Olympics, but didn't go to Rome. Can someone clarify the facts regarding his Olympic experience? --JamesAM (talk) 22:31, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
