Music video - the bed scene
[edit]I believe the description of the video is incorrect in the part where it says that the protagonist and his girlfriend "later have sex". They don't, that is the point of the video: the protagonist couldn't have an arousal. It is obvious at 2:58 mark of the video (the version which is featured on the official Metallica YouTube channel, see here), where it can be seen that the protagonist takes a look at his crotch, lifting up the rim of his pants, as if to see whether his penis is aroused; then he leans back in the bed, visually disappointed ([1]). Also note that his pants are on, and his girlfriend's underwear is also still on; then she quickly gets dressed and leaves, and the protagonist, feeling down and confused, keeps on drinking liquor, takes some pills, and passes out.
I strongly believe that this scene is crucial exactly because it touches upon the protagonist's impotence, which can be seen as the culmination of the first part of the video; then the strange robotic creatures leave his head, which can be seen as a departure of the bad thoughts and addictions, the source of his misery, leaving him a true "hero of the day".
Hence I propose to change that part of the description of the video "Music video" section which tells about them "having sex" in such way that it would incorporate the changes described by me above. Ronniesafarov (talk) 22:48, 14 October 2015 (UTC)
- It is fixed now, I implemented the proposed changes myself. Ronniesafarov (talk) 13:36, 26 October 2015 (UTC)
