Problem with Helenus's Prophecy occuring after the Death of Paris, input greatly appreciated.

[edit]

In this article it is stated that Helenus is caught after vying against his brother for Helen after Paris has died, then under torture tells the fall of Troy, one of the requisites being Philoctetes involvement. So due to this Odysseus returns to the marooned Philoctetes, takes him to Troy where he shoots Heracles' Bow and kills Paris.

My problem is, how does Philoctetes kill Paris if he got brought to Troy due to a prophecy from Helenus which only occurred due to him being captured, which in turn occurred from Helenus vying for Helen AFTER Paris died? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.136.114.208 (talk) 00:12, 24 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
