Page Changed
[edit]I (Canihuan300) changed this page to a disambiguation page on June 10, 2011.
Stability
[edit]This page started its life as a redirect resulting from the requested "uncontroversial" move of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (film) to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1.[1]. Then it was
- made into a disambiguation page to the two films,[2]
- turned into an almost-article,[3]
- trimmed back,[4]
- after several inconsequential edits that were mostly undone, turned into a simple redirect to the much too general disambiguation page Deathly Hallows (disambiguation),[5]
- changed back by Canihuan300, as noted above – apparently unaware of the history – into a disambiguation page,[6]
- marked (for unclear reasons; I see nothing incomplete about it) an "incomplete disambiguation",[7]
- turned into an improper (doubly redirecting) "redirect from incomplate [sic] disambiguation per WP:INCOMPDAB" to again the much too general disambiguation page,[8]
- fixed into a single redirect to the same disambiguation page,[9] and
- turned into a simple redirect to, too specifically, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 (which was, incidentally, how the page started its life!).[10]
This is unstable. I propose to make this page a proper article, which will discuss the (IMO notable, and well documented) decision to split the filmification of Deathly Hallows in two, including the critical reception of that decision. --Lambiam 09:28, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
- The page had not been edited for 8 days before I made the last change you noted above. I don't think this makes it unstable. As far as changing it now from a redirect to a separate article, I don't think it's necessary. However, if enough reliably sourced material is found that discusses the split in the way you described above, I wouldn't be against having it written up, either. - So it was somewhat stable before your change. The cycle is apt to start all over again. --Lambiam 12:35, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

Merge with production article
[edit]An obvious way to flesh this out to a proper article is to merge the article Production of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows to here. --Lambiam 09:46, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

- See Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Film#Harry_Potter_and_the_Deathly_Hallows_.28film.29. No consensus to merge the article. Betty Logan (talk) 21:09, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
Contested deletion
[edit]This page should not be speedy deleted because... --67.211.33.38 (talk) 21:36, 29 July 2011 (UTC) People like Harry Potter and it would just anger them and they would stop visiting your site.
Contested deletion
[edit]This page should not be speedy deleted because is a link to pages for part 1 and 2 as the film has two parts — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.19.223.207 (talk) 21:59, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
