Yes, that's correct. It's like many stations on the GN route and can come in very handy in various situations. For example, if theres an emergency or severe disruption expresses or fast FCC services can call or stop there to let passengers out etc., as happened recently at Biggleswade when an East Coast (train operating company) train stopped in P3 to let the passengers off the train while it waited.
