Population Updated
[edit]I updated the population of Gawler to 19,000 based on:
- 19,000 on council web site: http://www.gawler.sa.gov.au/site/page.cfm?u=100
- 18,762 at ABS web site (June, 2003): http://www.abs.gov.au/websitedbs/c311215.nsf/0/3C556306C6A3B803CA256B5500799B10?Open#Untitled%20Section_2
- "Nearly 20,000" in SMH article, Feb 2004: http://www.smh.com.au/news/South-Australia/Gawler/2005/02/17/1108500204259.html

Industry Information Needed
[edit]A new section about local industry and the economy is needed. If you can find the info, please add it in. See Kapunda as a small and simple example.

Date established?
[edit]Article shows 1836. This is before the site for Adelaide was chosen! Local signage erected by Town Of Gawler council show "Established 1839", which seems much more likely as George Gawler became Governor in October 1838. 1.147.28.91 (talk) 09:43, 20 September 2022 (UTC)
