Merge with Galant?

Late Baroque Era?

"In music, galant refers to the style which was fashionable from the 1720s to the 1770s. This movement featured a return to simplicity and immediacy of appeal after the complexity of the late Baroque era."

This seems incongruous.... the very definition of the "late Baroque era" would be 1720s-1750s. 31.54.39.113 (talk) 11:56, 23 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you think so? Late baroque in music is usually defined as ca. 1680–1730. See Baroque music.—Jerome Kohl (talk) 16:29, 23 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
