Wasn't the Chevrolet Corvair a Y-body car too? Granted, it had an air-cooled rear engine, but I think it had the same basic body. It was a unit body like the Tempest and LeMans, but unlike the Special, Skylark, F-85, Cutlass, or Jetfire.

Y or A?

[edit]

This article contradicts the earlier GM A platform (RWD) article that calls all the 1960-63 cars A-bodies. Neither article states references. Can the authors of this article (or anyone else) prove this article right and the other wrong? Respectfully, SamBlob 11:26, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In addition, the shown car is a 1971 F-85, which is not mentioned in the article, and for good reason since it's based on the A-body (as every previously Y-based compact starting for 1964 MY). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.250.98.243 (talk) 13:38, 11 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
