University rebrand
[edit]I've made a few changes where I can to facilitate the renaming of the university to University of Staffordshire. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C8:14A0:4201:DD96:D767:ECC5:3B7 (talk) 16:13, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
University ratings
[edit](I'm posting this to all articles on UK universities as so far discussion hasn't really taken off on Wikipedia:WikiProject Universities.)
There needs to be a broader convention about which university rankings to include in articles. Currently it seems most pages are listing primarily those that show the institution at its best (or worst in a few cases). See Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Universities#University ratings. Notable Alumni
[edit]I edited Claire Curtis-Thomas entry to (Honorary) but after reading http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:NOTABLE_ALUMNI, specifically "Individuals receiving honorary degrees should generally not be included, unless the awarding is itself notable" I have decided to remove the name altogether. The awarding was not felt noteworthy enough to include on her wikipedia page and therefore not here either. 77.100.27.103 (talk) 18:10, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
Deletion of Macedonian Alumnus
[edit]An anonymous IP continues to delete a prominent alumnus who is a minister in the Republic of Macedonia. I suspect it is a Greek nationalist who objects to "Republic of Macedonia" since this deletion did not begin until after "former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia" was changes per Wikipedia naming policy to "Republic of Macedonia" a few days ago. I will continue to revert this deletion. If any admins are reading this, perhaps semi-protection on this page would be warranted. (Taivo (talk) 17:30, 7 April 2009 (UTC))
Written like an advert to promote the university
[edit]This entire article is written like an advert especially the 'Student's Union' Section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.24.92.251 (talk) 03:13, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

Academic collaboration?
[edit]Article states that Tas Tuhin has academic collaboration. What does this mean? Cls14 (talk) 12:25, 11 August 2016 (UTC)
Endowment
[edit]According to the infobox, the university has an endowment of £26,000. This seems unlikely - perhaps £26m? I can't see where in the cited source the figure comes from, so I can't be sure. JezGrove (talk) 22:25, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
