[edit]Hello! I wrote this article to share an exciting stream of psychological research about the future self. I am a new contributor, and I typically write for academic audiences. I would love help improving the style of the article to be more encyclopedic and less essay-like. Please share your thoughts, comments, edits! Thanks! JSRpsych (talk) 01:16, 27 November 2018 (UTC)

Hello! I have started a review, this is only my second one ever, so please bear with me. I have made a few notes:
- 1. The lead does not adequately summarise the article. Try expanding it with a better definition, connect it to a field of psychology perhaps, and a few more hyperlinks. See WP:LEAD for more information
- 2. Some sections do not seem broad or detailed enough, the 'delayed gratification' section is a sentence long, and has one man's theory.
- 3. It is not very neutral and should have perspectives and theories from others in the field as well.
