[edit]Who is Bob Rush? Biscuittin (talk) 21:35, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
- Presumably not Bob Rush (Australian footballer). Biscuittin (talk) 21:40, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
- He's the author of at least two books on the Furness:
- Rush, Robert W. (1973). The Furness Railway 1843-1923. The Oakwood Library of Railway History. Lingfield: Oakwood Press. OL35.
- Rush, Robert W. (1987) [1973]. The Furness Railway Locomotives and Rolling Stock. The Oakwood Library of Railway History. Headington: Oakwood Press. ISBN 0-85361-362-1. OL35A.
- For these he invented a "classification" scheme for FR locos, which he based on the LNER system (letters for wheel arrangements, numbers to distinguish further) - K1 is an example - which has since been assumed by some to be official. --Redrose64 (talk) 21:41, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
