He was married to a second wife Astrid Lindley married 1978-1986 divorced. NO children with this marriage.

Timing of death before birthday

There seems to be a lot of reverts on Gifford dying within a week of his birthday. I've seen it in some sources, so I'm OK if it stays in that it's not total WP:OR, but I can also see how it could be seen as trivial. I'd invite those who may have stronger opinions to discuss here, which can also serve to stop the edit warring on this. Thanks.—Bagumba (talk) 19:27, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
