Images
[edit]Any chance of some images for this page? I know there isn't much to see yet, but most pages about current construction projects have in-progress images of the work so far. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 19:42, 12 December 2013 (UTC)
5th tallest bridge in Europe
[edit]According to List of tallest bridges, the only bridges in Europe which are taller are the Millau Viaduct, Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge (connects Europe and Asia), Great Belt East Bridge, and Pont de Normandie. Rob984 (talk) 22:39, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
Bridge design
[edit]Why is there no section on design? Are engineering drawings available?
And perhaps some discussion of why the cost of the project was so exorbitant. Was it the elevation of the connecting roads, which necessiated a high bridge and massive support towers? Such things are not immediately obvious to the uninformed reader.
Completion Date
[edit]The original completion date was NOT December 2016. This was a revised date, because work was a head of schedule and under budget, but the winter weather delayed work, and put it back. I can't recall exactly, but I think the original date was somewhere between July-September 2017. 2.101.149.131 (talk) 15:53, 2 August 2018 (UTC) Lance Tyrell
- Quite possibly, but do you have a reliable source for that? Otherwise we unfortunately can't add it to the article. Absolutelypuremilk (talk) 16:18, 2 August 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Link to Source 21 is broken. Might need to use the Wayback Machine. Dkerner2023 (talk) 23:50, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
- Source 21 was a link in the planning section to the website of the campaign group Forthright that was opposed to the bridge. It is not surprising that site is no longer functioning, now that the bridge has been built. It had contained some press releases and copies of letters. The group did also have several letters published in the Scotsman newspaper. The date of access of that website link had been listed in this article as 2012. I have added a couple of references before this to reference when they were active from and coverage of when they appeared in from of the Forth Crossing Bill Committee to give evidence. The broken link to the now defunct webpage is now Source 23. Drchriswilliams (talk) 07:22, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
