Low copy number now has its own article, where specific difficulties can be addressed. Springnuts (talk) 11:37, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Need for a more comprehensive article on entire history of UK forensic science

[edit]

We should really have an article Forensic science in the United Kingdom to take in the larger picture on all of this, which spans a much wider period than 1991-2012. -- The Anome (talk) 16:41, 23 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

History

[edit]

The history detailed is very confusing and in some cases incorrect. The development of the FSS was far more complex than described. Consolidation of 6 laboratories into the initial Agency Structure and charging the police forces for services, merger with the MPFSL and establishment of the DNA database, commercialisation and move to Trading Fund, change of status to Gov Co, decline and ultimate closure resulting in privatisation of services, establishment of in house provision of some aspects within the police forces, London Facility transferred back to the MPS. 2A00:23C8:983:4501:5513:2936:397A:55D (talk) 14:49, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
