Article proposed for deletion

[edit]

Hi, Mostly advertising speech, article tagged since June 2017. I informed the principal contributors. Regards, Yann (talk) 08:49, 23 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I don't really see anything problematic, except for a few easily removed words (flagship, iconic) in the intro.  Mr.choppers | ✎  17:35, 23 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I do agree the article does need rewriting I think but that's not a reason to delete it, It should simply be fixed. –Davey2010Talk 18:02, 23 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I fixed a fair amount. There seem to be one or two editors (these people for instance: Mohsina Faiz, RSurendra) who keep restoring puffery. Much of it has already been removed in the past.  Mr.choppers | ✎  18:17, 23 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The firm does appear noteworthy, quite clearly exceeds GNG as it seems. The editors mentioned above are almost certainly connected to the firm, either through admission, activity or 'other'. I have depuffed the article further, issued warnings (for whatever good that will do) and have added to watchlist so that future attempts by the PR machine can be quickly identified. no Declined. It isn't entirely clear what needs to be changed. Please follow the instructions given at Template:Edit COI and follow the format recommended. Or try the Wikipedia:Edit Request Wizard.
Some general advice:
  • The lead section of the article should not introduce information that isn't found in the body text. The purpose of the lead section is to summarize the body, providing a brief overview.
  • If you ask to remove information that is already cited to a source, you need to justify its removal, not simply request removal.
  • Requests need to be specific. "Add after Germany" means nothing when there are multiple instances of the word "Germany" in the article.
  • Requests to add statements that are promotional in tone will be rejected. Marketing language like "vision" and unsubstantiated puffery such as "economical, reliable and efficient" will always be rejected. I note that the financial report you cite doesn't include such language.
@Santoswankhede: You are welcome to try again. This looks like it should have been split into multiple requests, if the edits requested are to different sections. Try Wikipedia:Edit Request Wizard next time. ~Anachronist (talk) 14:11, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request (November 10)

[edit]

Thank you for your advice so far, I would like to make the following edit requests.

1. Add the following to the history section. He is already listed as founder in the infobox but not in the history section. This reference could also be used for the infobox if one is required.

Force Motors was founded in 1957 by N.K. Firodia.[1]

2. Add the following about its Chennai facility to the history section.

In July 2015, Force Motors completed the construction of an autopart manufacturing facility in Chennai, India.[2] The facility allowed Force to assemble up to 20,000 engines annually for BMW.[2] Both four and six-cylinder engines would be assembled there.[2]

3. Add the following financial information to the history section.

Following the completion of the Chennai site, a third of Force's revenue would be generated by the manufacturing of autoparts for German car companies.[2]
