Image copyright problem with Image:Threeidiots.jpg
[edit]The image Image:Threeidiots.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

NPOV
[edit]"The novel is vulgar at times....like the section where Neha and Hari went to see the movie and they were shown a documentary on Family Planning. Also they get physical with each other. Come on man who would dare to have sex with the professor's daughter? Also the Fuck word is used many a times which is vulgar and unethical at times. I would say the book is Romantically science or Scientifically Romance. But the best part is that it is scientifically vulgar!"''
This looks like somebody giving their personal opinions- hardly right for an enclyopedia.
I second that. I'm removing this paragraph for now. --Aksnitd (talk) 06:43, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
Sequel?
[edit]Where are the references that say 2 States is a sequel of this book? Is there any other proof that this is true? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.91.201.56 (talk) 10:00, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
Removed the second paragraph and renamed the section. Rajeshja (talk) 11:32, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
Inadequate source
[edit]Reference 7:^ A book, a film and the truth is not adequate because it reflects personal opinion (the author's point of view - who is involved). --Excaliboor (talk) 22:12, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

Five Point Someone – What not to do at IIT! → Five Point Someone – Taglines should not be present in the titles. The name of the book is "five point someone", and the rest of it is just a caption. Relisted. Jenks24 (talk) 04:27, 10 June 2012 (UTC) Secret of success (talk) 08:16, 2 June 2012 (UTC)

Other than the problems with this entry that are already mentioned, the language is faulty and grammatically incorrect. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 115.241.166.85 (talk) 14:01, 14 April 2014 (UTC)

how about a table
[edit]In the paragraphs about the characters, the complex parentheses are a bit hard to read. I propose to move them to a table at either the bottom or the top of that section, thus:
Five Point Someone | 3 Idiots (Hindi) | Nanban (Tamil) |
---|---|---|
Ryan Oberoi | Ranchoddas Shamaldas Chanchad (Rancho) aka Phunsukh Wangdu (played by Aamir Khan) | Panchavan Parivendan (Pari) aka Kosaksi Pasupugazh (played by Vijay) |
Hari Kumar | Farhan Qureshi (played by Madhavan) | Venkat Ramakrishnan (played by Srikanth) |
Alok Gupta | Raju Rastogi (played by Sharman Joshi) | Sevarkodi Senthil (played by Jiiva) |
Prof. Cherian | Viru Sahastrabuddhe (Virus) (played by Boman Irani) | Virumaandi Santhanam (played by Sathyaraj) |
Neha Cherian | Pia Sahastrabuddhe (played by Kareena Kapoor) | Ria Santhanam (played by Ileana D'Cruz) |
Venkat | Chatur Ramalingam (played by Omi Vaidya) | Srivatsan (played by Sathyan) |
