Currency not introduced in the Free State of Fiume
[edit]According to the article the currency was introduced in the Free State of Fiume on 18 April 1919. This is not possible! In April 1919 the city of Fiume was a disputed area. As a consequence of the Treaty of Rapallo (signed on 12 November 1920) the Free State of Fiume was de facto established on December 30 1920. If the currency was introduced in April it would be more correctly to say it was introduced in the disputed city by the Italian National Council of Fiume, then used during the Italian Regency of Carnaro (12 September–29 December 1919) and after the establishment of the Free State of Fiume in late 1920 also for a short while in the new state until it was formally replaced by the Italian lira.
