[edit]Merger?
[edit]There has been some talk on this article's DYK nomination about a merger. It may seem redundant to have similar fare on both this article and its related ones (Romulus Augustulus, Odoacer, etc.). However, I feel that this topic merits a separate Wikipedia page, as the end of Western Roman sovereignty was a major turning point in European history. In other words, I think the topic too well-sourced and well-known to be described on a series of (equally important, but) more biographical articles. DCI2026 04:14, 1 August 2011 (UTC)

[edit]This article relies heavily on Gibbon and a few mid 20th Century sources. It could possibly do with updating to reflect current scholarship. Philafrenzy (talk) 19:02, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
Rome is sacked twice?
[edit]Why does this section matter? The capital had long moved to Ravenna. Kortoso (talk) 20:08, 29 November 2016 (UTC)
