[edit]Elevated levels of fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF-23)play a role in the development of atherosclerotic plaque. I do not think that FGF-23 is of "low importance" in the field of molecular biology. FGF-23 also appears to be the long sought-after "phosphatonin" that regulates serum phosphate levels. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Amichaelmartin (talk • contribs) 16:43, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
Further reading section is completely overblown
[edit]I see no rhyme and reason in amassing so many articles under "further reading".
Most are primary resources, many subscription only and none are review articles. I am inclined to delete them . Wuerzele (talk) 20:13, 6 December 2022 (UTC)
