Year of composition
[edit]This page says 1926, Respighi's own page says 1928. What is correct? :-) — Pladask (talk) 14:10, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
- This has been corrected in the article to show 1928. (We do know Respighi *completed* composition in 1928, regardless of when he began.) Just putting this note in to "resolve" @Pladask's question here in the Talk page. Nephets (talk) 21:23, 25 February 2024 (UTC)
- I have no recollection of asking that question 13 years ago, but thanks, @Nephets. :-D — Pladask (talk) 22:36, 27 February 2024 (UTC)
Language Consistency
[edit]The articles for Pines of Rome and Fountains of Rome are both in English, but this one is in Italian. Should this be moved to "Roman Festivals"? Chuborno (talk) 01:34, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
- I'd think so, per wp:useenglish, especially since the titles of the pages about both of its companion pieces are in English. Jfmantis (talk) 23:34, 1 August 2013 (UTC)
Response to Fascism
[edit]In Talk:Ottorino Respighi#3 Fascism, we read;
Christopher Nupen in his 1983 film on Respighi uses 'Feste Romane' as an example of Respighi's Shostakovich-like response to the demands to make his music work for the [Fascist] regime.
Should that (the context, not just the film) be explained in this article? Does anyone have sources? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 17:50, 3 December 2022 (UTC)
