[edit]That the 1957 Testa Rossa was sold for a record price could be mentioned here, and also in the "did you know" section on the mainpage. - Alsandro · T · w:ka: Th · T 15:02, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Suggesting rename/move to "Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa"
[edit]I'm preparing to rewrite much of this article with better structure and references. One of the first changes that seems warranted is to move the page from "Ferrari TR" to "Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa". "Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa" is the full name in common use among Ferrari literature, "250 TR" is used as well but as an abbreviation. Further distinctions between 250 TR versions by year are made by adding a year suffix, such as 250 TR/60 for a 1960 car. In Ferrari literature using "TR" does not default to describing the 250 TR, but is more of casual slang that could contextually be understood as referring to 250 TR, 500 TR/TRC, 1980s Testarossa or later 512TR. Most writers will shorten to 250 TR (again with a year suffix if necessary such as 250 TR/61), which seems more responsible. So based on all this I think it would be in accordance with wikipedia's naming conventions to move the article to "Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa", and use "250 TR" as the shortened name of the car in paragraph text. What do you think?
Incidentally, on a somewhat related note I agree with the proposal to merge Ferrari 250 TR 61 Spyder_Fantuzzi into this article. I believe the differences that demarcate a 250 TRI61 Spider Fantuzzi from other 250 TRs can be adequately covered in a TRI61 subhead within this article. The article in question does not even attempt to outline the distinction and provides no additional content relative to Ferrari TR, so as it sits perhaps it should be an AfD candidate? - I have made the move from Ferrari TR to Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, as I believe this is more in accordance with WP:CRITERIA, especially WP:PRECISE and WP:UCRN. Again, please comment if you believe this is not the right decision. Prova MO (talk) 01:00, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
