Extremely Brittle Window Glass

I just watched National Lampoon's Vacation for the very first time. I watched it on TV Land which edited the film because it is too long to pass for a TV movie. One of the scenes that was cut for time is when they stop at a drive-in restaurant immediately after the police officer pulls them over for killing the dog.
