Setting is "Ohzu"

Progressive takes place not in Mabase but in a city called Ohzu (大豆). You can see the name on Masaro's newspaper (大豆新聞), on a sign for the shopping district (大豆商店街) and in English as well as Japanese on the tickets to the amusement park Eye Patch gives Aiko. It's also on the license plates of Jinyu's car and Haruko's Vespa. Ohzu resembles Mabase (river with many bridges, Medical Mechanica plant on a hill) but actually looks quite different if you compare them side by side (Mabase is on the ocean and the plant is tipped sideways, among other things).
