F/V Meaning

Ship Infobox

I would add the infobox about the Northwestern, but I do not know much about ships and as such don't even know how to fill the infobox in. If some kind soul would be willing to do this I would be greatly appreciative. I think that there is enough information in the article, but I am not sure.--Kyle_(talk) 01:31, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

Page move

Hello. I just moved the page to its current location, because for technical reasons, forward slashes should be avoided in article titles. Specifically, it renders the title to the right of the slash subordinate to what is on the left. In this case, the page was subordinated to F. Notability?

Whoever tagged the page as having no notability...are you on crack? The Northwestern was the stuff of fishing legends on the Bering Sea long before Thom Beers ever came up with the idea of making a TV series about the deadliest job in the world, and now as Deadliest Catch comes into its 4th season after drawing over 49M viewers last year, it's now one of the most famous fishing vessels in the world. Completely agree. I can't see any reason that this is not notable. It is the same thing as any article about a character in a tv show (few outside sources besides the show itself). On top of that, the Northwestern is an actual vessel, not just made up.--Kyle_(talk) 04:04, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Jake Anderson

What's up with all the information about Jake Anderson in the "Current Status" section? Is this really needed as part of an encyclopedia article? This seems more like part of a fansite. Snifred Hansen??

It says Christened: November 5, 1977, by Mrs. Snifred Hansen - That should be spelled either Snefrid, Snøfrid or Snøfryd, all are actual Norwegian names, Snifred is not.

1970's vs 1970s

I think that 1970's is wrong, and Gronk Oz has corrected it to 1970s twice. As edit warring is unproductive, I'm looking for a consensus here. 1970s or 1970's? As it is something covered by AWB, I think it is quite obviously 1970s. First, let me apologize for making that change twice: I did not get notified that an anonymous IP editor had reverted it. The Manual of Style is quite clear about this question at MOS:DECADE: "...always use four digits as in the 1980s. Do not use the 1980's..."
