Adding back the Claim by Arthat Church
[edit]Adding back the claim on Arthat Church and ensuring that Claims by Malayatoor Church and Aruvithara St. Thomas Church are preserved on this page. As stated by many of the historians like M. G. S. Narayanan there is no historic evidence that ST. Thomas (Thomas the Apostle) landed in kerala or had established 7 & half churches. Rather than historic evidences it is beliefs and word of mouth of local christian community (Saint Thomas Christians) which is called out in the article, unless some one can produce written evidences back from the time frame of AD 52 to AD 70 on this. Given the back ground we need to make sure that the claims and beliefs that is established by ST.Thomas Christians and which are passed down from generations is called out in this article - it is information (This include beliefs of all churches which is included in the page). There is no need to hide information on beliefs of Saint Thomas Christian denominations and various churches they belong.

Removal of Claim of Arthat church as "Palayoor Church"
[edit]Hi all, I have reverted edit made by DVIssac on including a claim of arthat as palayoor church. There is no historical basis for the same as the Authors from at least 16 th century mentions the present palyoor church as the one and only church. I have provided the evidences on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Thomas_Syro-Malabar_Church,_Palayoor.
References : 1 ) Lingerings of light in a dark land: researches into the Syrian church of Malabar - Thomas Whitehouse (Refers palayoor church as one the seven churches established by St Thomas. The same book quotes Arthat church in detail, and the author himself visited the church in 1860's,but no reference to connection with St Thomas, though the same interviewed many church members. 2) Jarric (Indicarum Rerum, tom. iii. lib. ii. cap. v. pp. 50-51) gives part of a letter by James Fenicio, a Jesuit missionary in the Zamorin’s territory Quote : "I devoted all the remaining available time to the erection of these churches, and to the Christian inhabitants of this village [Palur]. I used to give them instructions as I chanced to meet them. As the church of Palur dedicated to Saint Cyriac [Syr. Quriaqus], which was the oldest (primus) among all the churches in Malabar, and renowned for favours and graces obtained, and for this reason much frequented, I devoted myself more especially to it"

Introductory sentence
[edit]The St Joseph Syro Malabar Catholic Mission of Hudson Valley, New York is a WP:reliable source as for what it seems to be directly linked to the local Indian community. It isn't a third-party and independent source -perhaps not so easily to be found- but it is a good content for a brief introductory sentence of the WP article. Hope to find something better because at the moment we have solely self-published books which normally aren't compliant with the WP needs.Philosopher81sp (talk) 07:50, 8 October 2020 (UTC)
