"eric" or "Eric"?

[edit]

This article is currently not consistent - should it be "eric" or "Eric"? --Mortense (talk) 14:46, 20 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Officially it (seems to be) "eric". ... Except perhaps at the start of a sentence. nope that's not it. Plenty of sentences starting with lowercase "eric".
Change it on the gallery text. Ref-text cases use the same eric-case as is used in the linked page (which should not be changed I think). Not sure about the "Eric alludes to Eric Idle," part, so leaving that one as is. --MvGulik (talk) 11:24, 3 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Version history table

[edit]

Is there any need, or good reason(s), to maintain the version history table. For one the program is updated on a regular monthly base (with mixed minor/major changes per update). Two; for the new versioning scheme part its mainly becoming a list of (predictable) version numbers (and predictable dates) without any significant version changes info. Three; The Eric-ide website can be checked for related version changes (blindly copying them to here makes no real sense to me). The only version table that makes a bit of sense to me would be one that is condensed to only the major/significant changes. (four; think the lack of a regular page maintainer could also be included as a reason to simplify that table.) ... Reversing the data/fields could be used to just list its major features, followed by the related version. Making for a more easier, and less needy, to maintain table/data (I think).
