Praise

[edit]

Pretty damn good for a DYK article! Nice work. Modest Genius talk 23:21, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much. I do appreciate it. Happy New Year! :-) --IvoShandor (talk) 09:50, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Canada

[edit]

"Among the Allied Powers, Canada led the pioneering effort in vector-borne warfare."
And they did what? Hawkeye7 (talk) 10:53, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Obviously, the article still needs work. More research is still needed too, from what I have learned they were working on BW (incl. EW) long before any of the other allies took it seriously in an offensive sense. I just got worn out, with the researching and writing and such. --IvoShandor (talk) 18:56, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I added a brief summarization of their work, but it could use some fleshing out and some more detail. I will get to that eventually, but that should help for now. Take a look. --IvoShandor (talk) 22:05, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Issue with Use of Photo File:Picture of Manchurian Plague victims in 1910 -1911.jpg

[edit]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Picture_of_Manchurian_Plague_victims_in_1910_-1911.jpg

The photo entry has a description that indicates

  • there is a higher quality image available and
  • the current image is mis-labelled and may not show what it claims to show.

Description: Picture of Manchurian Plague victims in 1910 -1911 that has been historically mislabeled as "Body disposal at Unit 731" A much higher resolution photo, with Russian text stating that these were "Dead plague bodies held in storage awaiting scientific research" can be seen here: http://hahn.zenfolio.com/p933515793/h2e4b7519#h2e4b7519 Date 1910-1911 Source Thomas H. Hahn Docu-Images»Historical photographs of China 中国摄影史图片库»The Manchurian Plague 1910-11 (2)

I think it should be removed, re-labelled, or re-placed. In any case, it needs to be looked into further. Johnvr4 (talk) 14:44, 11 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
