Talk:English Baroque architecture

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As I expand the coverage of Baroque architecture, I think it reasonable to spin off national varieties into separate articles. Just check how many articles link here; they formerly referred to the generic article Baroque. I believe an expert like Giano could expand this stub. We should explain our readers what is English Baroque, in the first place. Most often the word is used to refer to Vanbrugh, Hawksmoor, Archer - but quite frequently it is applied to Wren's Classicism as well. So an introduction on the nomenclature and uses of the term would be quite welcome. --Ghirla -трёп- 06:21, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
