Merger proposal
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- The result of this discussion was merge. Abdotorg (talk) 09:44, 24 April 2023 (UTC)
The article ExWhyZ seems to be about the same entity after a name change, which would not usually warrant a separate article from a WP:PAGEDECIDE perspective. We do not have separate articles on Soft Play and Slaves (UK band), Lady A and Lady Antebellum, Gilla Band and Girl Band (Irish band), the Chicks and the Dixie Chicks, or AJJ (band) and Andrew Jackson Jihad. As I lack familiarity with this artist's material and cannot read Japanese I am making this a proposal rather than simply WP:BOLDly moving it myself, but I struggle to see why these are separate articles. - When I created ExWhyZ I struggled to know if a new article was the right way to go, but having seen the word "disband" (解散) used frequently in news reports I decided that I would go ahead and create it. It is my understanding that Empire who were under Avex were disbanded in order to form the new ExWhyZ under EMI. However, I do recognise that the members remain the same as Empire's final line-up so it does seem to be the same group. Abdotorg (talk) 15:48, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
- Merge and then rename Hi Abdotorg it's better to rename the article after merging it with Empire. ExWhyZ's situation sounds similar to Highlight's. They were known as Beast under Cube and then they changed their name after joining another company, despite the fact that the members line-up remained the same, and omg I know this is an old Merge proposal but it's not closed yet, so does anyone disagree with what i suggested above? If not then allow my to start the merging process.
