Change in Moldavian spelling

The following is stated in the article:

In Moldavian, it was initially “Пролетарь дин тоате цэриле, униць-вэ!”, then, from the 1950s “Пролетарь дин тоате цэриле, уници-вэ!”, both transliterated as “Proletari din toate țările, uniți-vă!”.

Is there a source to back this up? In Moldavian, uniți-vă really is written as униць-вэ. This is how we write it. It reflects the Romanian pronunciation exactly. I have never seen уници-вэ written on the emblem. The more realistic alternativ is that this was the original version that was later replaced by the correct униць-вэ.
