Ribnik in maps

[edit]

Who can help me find "Ribnik" in Czechoslovak maps ? It is not mistake in spelling ? --kelovy 02:06, 15 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Check at [1]. MusiCitizen 02:12, August 15, 2005 (UTC)

Thank You, I knew about Croatian town with that name, but I am looking for Czechoslovak one, I am really curious where it is :) --kelovy 02:40, 15 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

My father was also born in this town which I have most often seen spelled as Rybnik. Elmer Valo and my father were friends all their lives and Elmer visited our home often as well as giving us tickets to many games when he visited Cleveland with another team or when he played and coached for the Indians. [edit]

There is wrong link of Rybnik, Valo´s birthplace. Correct link is http://sk.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rybn%C3%ADk_(okres_Levice)

Elmer (originally Imrich) Valo was born in Rybnik, Levice district, Nitra county. His birth record together with marriage record of his mother Katarina (born Klincok) and father Jozef are avalaible at local birth register.

Have made research some 2-3 years and made copy of all these documents. It wasn´t possible to localise house of Valo´s exactly but we suppose it´s house Nr.156. No relatives of Valo family remained in Rybnik. Older people of his age already passed away (incl.my grandfather Michal Svaral from Rybnik, born in 1919).
