Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Bumpy Johnson. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Pop culture examples

[edit]

I am inclined to remove pop culture examples where the editor has made no attempt to establish the reference's significance within the work, to prevent the creation of indiscriminate lists. The Hoodlum example did present a case for significance, but then the details were removed. I have restored them. 24.7.14.87 (talk) 19:04, 17 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please cite a specific policy that these should not be removed. The list has been significantly trimmed from a prior version and only has verified sources on it now. You need a stronger rationale than personally not liking it. Also, the Prodigy album goes in this section, not as a hattag on the top of the page. JesseRafe (talk) 22:09, 23 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Criteria for inclusion of material are not spelled out in advance for every case, but I refer you to MOS:FICT which states: "When characters or other elements from fictional works are notable for their own standalone article, it is acceptable and often necessary to include a narration of that element's role in the events of the work(s) they are a part of." In this instance, Johnson was both a real person and a character in a fictional film, and the fictional portrayals should be described in the appropriate style. 24.7.14.87 (talk) 23:07, 23 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Frank Lucas

[edit]

Frank Lucas is an important detail whom Bumpy Johnson took under his wing that is missing. Mreci1 (talk) 03:27, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
