Censorship?
[edit]The phrase "The term, however, has been found offensive by some... For this reason, 6-fingered dwarfism has been removed as an alternative name for this entry." implies censorship. Thoughts? KarikaSlayer (talk) 18:14, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
Wouldn't it be better retain the usage while noting its deprecation, e.g. "redirect from 6-fingered dwarfism (deprecated because some considered it offensive)" CharlesHBennett (talk) 16:22, 6 October 2022 (UTC)
"felicitous"?
[edit]The final section states "This leaves Ellis–van Creveld syndrome with its felicitous abbreviation, EVC, as the only satisfactory designation." It's not clear what is "felicitous" about this abbreviation. I'd appreciate it if someone with that information would edit this sentence to clarify. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Untorqued (talk • contribs) 01:14, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
