Name
[edit]Her own MySpace page www.myspace.com/elenakatschernin calls it "Eliza's Aria". I suspect "Eliza Aria" is a hypercorrection. Gordonofcartoon 15:09, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
- That MySpace page uses both spellings, "Eliza Aria" from Wild Swans first, then "Eliza's Aria" as a rag (though both seem to be the same). The number from Wild Swans is clearly called "Eliza Aria". The cut & paste operations from May to July 2007 were inappropriate then and the name should be restored as it was on 12 March 2007 when Eliza Aria was created. The piece is listed under that name at https://www.australianmusiccentre.com.au/product/id/37387 and on the score sample provided there. Boosey & Hawkes also uses that name at http://www.boosey.com/cr/purchase-music/Elena-Kats-Chernin-Eliza-Aria/52368 as does Schott Music at https://en.schott-music.com/shop/eliza-aria-no318727.html and many other suppliers. The composer herself uses that name when she plays it. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 12:28, 23 November 2018 (UTC)
- Michael Bednarek I was about to rename this when I found sources still call it Eliza's Aria, see SMH "...become Elena's signature tune, Eliza's Aria from the ballet Wild Swans". we will need to follow WP:COMMONNAME if you still feel a rename is needed, I suggest you to start a WP:RM discussion. --DBigXrayᗙ 13:06, 23 November 2018 (UTC)
- "Eliza'a Aria" is of course an intuitive name, and non-specialist media like the SMH will use that. The same happens with many titles, e.g. I Pagliacci is a common misnomer for Pagliacci. WP:COMMONNAME makes specifical allowance for correct names. As you suggest, I will lodge a WP:RM discussion. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 13:18, 23 November 2018 (UTC)

Dubstep
[edit]Does anyone have any information on the dubstep version? It's quite popular but wherever I find it, there's no information on the author. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=or5mRjAOCsY --85.197.210.136 (talk) 13:44, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
