[edit]I think it's pronounced VOL-kez, not VOL-kays. Anyone else? Lesserm (talk) 01:56, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

No Hitter
[edit]The No-Hitter that was accomplished he faced the minimum 27 batters as he was helped by 2 double plays after he allowed 2 on walks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.38.189.88 (talk) 23:09, 3 June 2017 (UTC)
- Correct. I made the change and added a ref. Yoninah (talk) 23:43, 3 June 2017 (UTC)
Why no diacritic over the E?
[edit]If his first name is pronounced with the accent on the first syllable - as indicated in the lead section and in Spanish-language videos like this one (see ~0:16) - Spanish-language pronunciation rules would call for an accent mark over the E in Edinson. In a Spanish word ending with an N, a written accent mark is required if the stress doesn't fall on the next-to-last syllable. Even most Spanish-language sources don't get this right, but then again, some Spanish-language sources and the majority of English-language sources omit the accent marks altogether. Just wondering if anyone knows what's up with the inconsistency. EricEnfermero (Talk) 18:33, 5 August 2017 (UTC)
