Whilst East Malling and Larkfield do constitute one modern civil parish, I think that the unique histories and characters of the two villages warrant separate articles. Danno uk (talk) 21:31, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
What is this place "greater Maidstone"? I realise urban sprawl makes it difficult to distinguish between Maidstone and West Malling but there is no such place/area/region as greater Maidstone, is there? Rama226 (talk) 18:38, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
- agreed, there is no "greater MAidstone" and even if there was, I'm not sure EM&L would be in it! Lynbarn (talk) 19:06, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
I would like to refresh the consideration to create individual articles for East Malling and Larkfield. These areas are very different and could very easily be looked at separately. --82.34.243.21 (talk) 15:57, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
- This has now been done. Crookesmoor (talk) 07:43, 30 September 2021 (UTC)
Housing estates
[edit]Just for the sake of accuracy, the statement "Tonbridge and Malling borough council applied to purchase this area of land in 1947" is incorrect. Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council did not exist prior to 1974. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.150.245.94 (talk) 15:24, 27 July 2018 (UTC)
