Name

[edit]

@SportingFlyer: You say that her name is "Pine" not "Pines": do you have a source for that, and for anything else about her? (Or is she perhaps a family member so that you "know", but not to Wikipedia standards?) The source given certainly uses "Pines". PamD 10:12, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Found other sources which agree on Pine. PamD 10:34, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@PamD: There's about three sources total on her. One of them calls her and her husband the "Pines" collectively. SportingFlyer T·C 10:50, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure why Cassie De Pecol would get a Wikipedia page and not Dorothy Pine?

Another source?

The Huffpost article cited in this article itself links to http://www2.ljworld.com/obituaries/2011/aug/18/dorothy-pine/, which I can't access because I'm in Europe. Could someone look and see if it's useful for expanding this article? PamD 10:21, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly the same obit I've seen and sourced at "Dignity" - or is a more reliable source? PamD 10:34, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, this is the article from the Lawrence, Kansas paper that states "Dorothy and Robert became the first couple in the world to have visited each of the world’s 192 recognized countries as well as 123 territories, island groups and special destinations as established by the Travelers Century Club. Dorothy is also recognized as the first woman to have achieved this milestone. They are considered to be the world’s most traveled couple and were duly recognized in 2006 by the Colorado State Senate and House of Representatives for this accomplishment."
