Fair use rationale for Image:Donkey-kong-country-legend-of-crystak-coconut.jpg

[edit]

Image:Donkey-kong-country-legend-of-crystak-coconut.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Polly K. Rool's Parrot

[edit]

I don't think Polly has an owner, he's been shown working for Scurvy, K. Rool and once opted to come over to DK's side. He's probably the closest thing the show has to a bounty hunter. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Soniccuz (talkcontribs) 07:03, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wait, what? + seasons

[edit]

Alright, who's the guy that's constantly adding in episodes and characters that don't even exist within the cartoon's universe? Sorry, but sad as it may seem, there probably won't be any new DKC episodes anytime soon.

Also, there's commonly said to be two seasons but I can reaffirm that there's actually three - the so-called first season consists of two seasons, and 'season two' is actually season three. I know a friend of mine who got that info straight from someone who was involved with the show, so yeah... it's a bit tedious to find official sources though. Just sayin', 'cause this info might be helpful. Ribbedebie (talk) 18:25, 4 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Tubi has 3 seasons listed for them. FilmRise provides the content. 2600:8801:0:2B10:A1B3:664A:A35A:4D6B (talk) 16:52, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

La planète de Donkey Kong vs. Donkey Kong Country

[edit]

Hello

There is a misunderstanding on this page. La planète de Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Country was 2 differents things. Donkey Kong Country is an animated serie where La planète de Donkey Kong is a tv show with 3d animation done by medialab. In La planète de Donkey Kong was shown Donkey Kong Country. And it's La planète de Donkey Kong won a 7 d'or. La planète de Donkey Kong was renamed DKTV.cool. This page is also wrong [1]

Best regards --Archimëa (talk) 22:56, 14 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • You're right. In reading the French Wikipedia articles (with references), fr:La Planète de Donkey Kong was a TV show hosted by fr:Mélanie Angélie and a 3D animated Donkey Kong which presented shorter-format animated TV series (as was common in that era of TV -- some might remember YTV's The Zone (YTV)). This is the show that earned the 1999 7 d'Or award. That shows was renamed DKTV.cool after the departure of host Angélie. One of the animated shows presented on La Planète de Donkey Kong was Donkey Kong Country (TV series) (they both premiered on the same date, September 4th, 1996), and they both seem to have used a lot of the same animations and 3D models, but they were disctinctly two different shows -- a fiction comedy starring Donkey Kong & Co., and a "non-fiction" intermission show hosted by a real persentator and DK (and later by DK & Co.) in the style of a VJ. I'm not sure how to best present that information and need to think it over, but at least the facts are straightened out here.  · Salvidrim! ·  20:27, 15 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Both should be merged to the series article unless there's adequate sourcing czar 22:34, 15 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, Planète should be covered in a subsection of this TV series, because despite winning an award, it seems much less "known". But first of all I need to find some references before even thinking of porting some content from frwiki. :)  · Salvidrim! ·  22:52, 15 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Broadcast Countries/Languages

[edit]

There aren't any sources here indicating that the show was broadcast in all of these countries, or that it was dubbed into said countries' languages. Sukurabu (talk) 01:09, 2 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"Kremlings"

[edit]

Currently, K Rool and his minions (excluding Bluster if you include him as one) are listed as "Kremlings" even though they are not ever called that in the show. Also, Skurvy and his minions would probably be also considered Kremlings, although once again, the word Kremling is never used in the show.

Home Video

[edit]

The home video section is a mess. No, I don't have personal time to fix it. Otherwise I would. (I don't spend that much time on the Internet, as I have Real World tasks that have to be completed.) 2600:8801:0:2B10:A1B3:664A:A35A:4D6B (talk) 16:54, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
