Fair use rationale for Image:DinneratEightvideocover.jpg

[edit]

Image:DinneratEightvideocover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 02:11, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

last laugh lines

alternate ending?

[edit]

On October 12, 2014, TCM showed an 'alternate ending' for Dinner at Eight. Unfortunately, I did not see how the clip started, but it ended with banter among the attending dinner guests not seen in the original. Then, when it is announced that dinner is ready, all the guests break into a gallop for the dining room (no further dialogue, not even the priceless exchange between Harlow and Dressler). Can anyone expand on where this came from? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.140.33.158 (talk) 04:25, 13 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

According to TCM's schedule, Dinner at Eight did not play that night. What did play was Come to Dinner, a short spoof/parody of Dinner at Eight using look-alike actors. If anyone's interested, Come to Dinner is on YouTube. – JBarta (talk) 04:44, 13 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
THANKS! Just enjoyed that youtube version - I only saw the last two minutes of it on TCM, but still chagrined that I didn't immediately recognize that the actors were different in one of my favorite movies! Wonderfully done and again, I appreciate your prompt reply. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.140.33.158 (talk) 05:07, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Two Minute Discrepancy

[edit]

Can anyone explain (or include in the article) the two minute discrepancy in running time with the Turner Library Print ? 113 minutes 111 minutes (Turner library print) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.184.67.93 (talk) 13:14, 1 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
