[edit]May I know why this section that I had added has been deleted.
- The idea of Dhola-Sadiya Bridge got first push in May 2003 when then Rajya Sabha MP Arun Kumar Sarma and Sadiya MLA Jagadish Bhuyan, both leaders of AGP then, wrote to then minister for Development of North-Eastern Region, C P Thakur, and proposed such a bridge.
- PM Vajpayee’s road and transport ministry cleared the feasibility study of the project in August 2003. However, the project was stalled for years as Vajpayee lost power in 2004. Finally, the work started in 2011 but it was delayed and the overall cost of the bridge escalated.
I had added a link to the article from an established news site!
If this deletion was done with a political motive, then Wikipedia is not an unbiased platform. Do not go begging for public donation in future. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Awmyth (talk • contribs) 09:54, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
