Demon/Devil name change

[edit]

We don't know why Nintendo called 'Devil' 'Demon' for the UK SSBB, and the way it was said made it seem as if all UK Nintendo fans are super-sensitive about the word 'Devil'... 82.46.212.142 15:10, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Because they are. 71.124.185.105 15:12, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hmph...well, I still think this is just plain...what do you call it? 'Original Research', I think. I'm content with it saying 'Some British Nintendo fans', though. 82.46.212.142 15:17, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He's called Demon in UK SSBB because that's what he was called in UK Devil World. 66.63.86.156 22:36, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The word "demon" is less controversial word than "devil" and Nintendo didn't want to take a chance with that. That's why they called it "Demon World" and since it was "demon" rather than "devil", the demon was obivously referred to as such. So that's why they call it "Demon" in the PAL SSBB. --FangzV (talk) 21:47, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to point out that us brits don't take offence to the word devil, at least not our days. Satan appeared on Doctor who for a start and that rated PG (Everyone). 86.21.4.39 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 11:11, 4 December 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Confusion

[edit]

"similar to the rotating four ice cream." - Does that make sense to anyone? I have no idea what it's supposed to mean. Zenintendofanatic 04:07, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Gameplay video of Devil World. See :25 and icecream cones will appear. FangzV (talk) 21:42, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Direction Movement

[edit]

Doesn't the movement of the screen go the opposite way that the devil points? He points in a direction, and the little wheels move in that direction, however the frame moves the opposite way. Am I making sense? Maybe a video to show what I mean... A gameplay video of Devil Word At first, the devil is seen pointing down, however moving the screen up. Yoshi/Tamagon

[edit]

I'd say that it's worth noting that the design of beloved Super Mario character Yoshi is at least partially based on Tamagon from this game. I mean, the color scheme, the spikes, the spitting fire, the green speckled egg, and even the sound when the egg hatches are all the same.--68.92.94.76 (talk) 09:26, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
