Semi-protecting the article
[edit]I see there have been many acts of vandalism recently. I think it might be a good idea to semi-protect this article. 62.233.223.132
There is no martial law in Poland however.
[edit]This phrase has been removed with a comment "no shit". There is no martial law in Poland however, so the Committee misuses the "resistor" symbol the same like some Polish nationalist misuse Polish anti-Nazi symbol Kotwica.Xx236 (talk) 08:10, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
POV - KOD follows the tradition of the former anti-communist Workers' Defence Committee
[edit]- Workers' Defence Committee was illegal in a Communist country, the Committee for the Defence of Democracy does what it wants.
belonged to Founding members, now they are in the PiS administration.Xx236 (talk) 09:19, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
actions taken by the governing party, the first party - not true
[edit]The Law and Justice is supported by at least two small parties Poland Together and Solidarity for Poland, represented by a dozen of deputes, who belong to the LaJ fraction (club). Xx236 (talk) 07:18, 12 January 2016 (UTC)
KOD follows the tradition ?
[edit]KOR helped prisoners and persecuted people, it didn't organize mass protests.Xx236 (talk) 07:52, 12 January 2016 (UTC)
Guardian plagiarized this article
[edit]So, am I right to see that this Feb 26 article has copied verbatim from Committee for the Defence of Democracy "became the first party in post-communist Polish history to control an absolute majority of the seats in the Polish Parliament and the Presidency at the same time. While the protest movement has taken issue with a number of PiS-sponsored initiatives"? Damn, even top tier publications have no standards if they copy stuff like that. Sigh. PS. Moonriddengirl agrees with me: User_talk:Moonriddengirl#The_Guardian_plagiarizing_us.3F. There is probably a template for that. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 07:41, 10 March 2016 (UTC)
Supporters
[edit]The phrase Many politicians, especially Ryszard Petru, presented their critiques of the government doesn't say anything about supporting KOD. Not only the KOD criticises the government.Xx236 (talk) 11:15, 17 March 2016 (UTC)
- I agree this is generic and can be removed. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 07:49, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
The Coalition
[edit]I don't know if the Coalition [1] works but it seems that Grzegorz Schetyn doesn't support the KOD.Xx236 (talk) 06:50, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
Supporters
[edit]- This is a selection and there is always a question - why these people?
- Krystyna Janda's theater was financially supported by the former government and obtained about 10% only this year. Does it make Janda neutral?Xx236 (talk) 06:56, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
POV
[edit]The text misinforms, it present's KOD's POV only.
- The destruction of the Tribunal was started by Platforma Obywatelska, who nominated five judges.
- 240 000 is a pro-KOD estimate.
- KOD was supported by "Gazeta Wyborcza", the biggest Polish daily at that time.Xx236 (talk) 06:59, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
- Le Monde didn't vist Warsaw to understand Polish problesm, it publishes opinions of a former Wyborcza internet edition journalist Jakub Iwaniuk (and Maja Żółtowska).Xx236 (talk) 07:07, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
