hey, I just wondered why she's not listed as a lesbian? Gorramdoll (talk) 03:38, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi anyone know if she is a selfdiagnosed autist or got it confirmed from a medical professional? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.229.80.176 (talk) 19:53, 28 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reply: She got diagnosed by a professional. It's in her autobiography Songs of the Gorilla Nation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.199.37.164 (talk) 07:35, 1 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. The lone referenced source to the article makes it clear that the subject was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome (AS) at age 36 years. While AS is clinically enrolled within Autism Spectrum Disorder, Wikipedia.org has decided to publish both WP "Category:People with Asperger syndrome" as well as WP "Category:People on the autism spectrum." WP subjects who were diagnosed with AS are correctly categorized within "Category:People with Asperger syndrome" but, similar categorization within "Category:People on the autism spectrum" is redundant overcategorization, and should be avoided.2001:558:6008:3B:39D3:6322:7F0B:D324 (talk) 15:58, 23 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The only mention I can find of the red-lined ApeNet Inc. on the web is a 2002 tax status refusal. I can find no mention of an Institute for Cognitive Archaeological Research except in the blurbs for Dawn Prince-Hughes' books. Is it entirely fictitious? She doesn't mention any archeological interest in her book. Also she's mentioned as an adjunct professor at western Washington University which seems to have been true in 2002 but does it still hold?
