[edit]There seems to be an error on this page; confusing the life and achievements of Sir David Barnett Dundas of Beechwood (28 August 1803- 23 March 1877, son of Robert Dundas and 2nd baronet) and Sir David Dundas of Ochtertyre (1799 - March 30th 1877, son of James Dundas). An understandable error given their incredibly similar life stories.
The first left many children, married twice and left his wife widowed after his death untill 1901; the latter died unmarried as per his obituary.
https://api.parliament.uk/historic-hansard/people/sir-david-dundas/index.html and https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Dictionary_of_National_Biography,_1885-1900/Dundas,_David_(1799-1877) clearly refer to David Dundas of Ochtertyre. Most of the achievements on this page thus belong to him, while the lineage painted and children given are those of David Dundas of Beechwood. Please advise as to how to properly split this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:1C02:2918:B700:6804:A8CC:460F:1DF4 (talk) 22:41, 10 June 2022 (UTC)
