A start
[edit]I have started to make an improvement on this article. It still needs major work but now has a large section on who this guy is, and what he is connected to. I added the See Also and external links and Ref/note area etc. skip sievert (talk) 17:09, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Corrections
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hello, Thanks to those who have contributed to this article. As subject of this article, I kindly would like to request several corrections. As currently written, the article contains a number of factual errors, a clarification, and a misspelling:
- My birthplace was not Syracuse, New York;
- My affiliation as Research Associate with the Environmental Policy Group at Wageningen University continues (not past tense) -- see this source;
- My undergraduate degree is from what is now the Clark Honors College, a unit of the University of Oregon, in Eugene, Oregon;
- My first faculty appointment was as Assistant Professor of Sociology at Washington State University;
- My 2007 appointment was as Professor and Chair, Department of Environmental Studies, State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, in Syracuse, New York; and
- My family name is misspelled in the third paragraph.
Thanks in advance for timely corrections of the above. Sincerely, DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 11:02, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
- Partly done @DASonnenfeld: I have removed the birthplace as it is unsourced, I have fixed the typo in the third paragraph and I have changed the tense r.e. Wageningen University. The other three points already seem to be noted in the article, are you requesting a change in wording or similar or is there something I'm missing? — crh 23 (Talk) 15:57, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for the speedy corrections, Crh23! The third bullet point, above, is a clarification (the R. D. Clark Honors College is not a standalone institution; my undergraduate degree is from the U of Oregon). Though perhaps subtle, the fourth and fifth bullet points are corrections to the existing text, as well. I can elaborate, if helpful. Kind regards, DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 16:48, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
- @DASonnenfeld: A specific change request (i.e. XXX replaced by YYY) would be handy, thanks. — crh 23 (Talk) 20:08, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
- Sure, Crh23. Here are my suggested corrections:
- "...obtained his undergraduate degree from the Robert D. Clark Honors College..." => "...obtained his undergraduate degree from the Robert D. Clark Honors College, at the University of Oregon..."
- "...started his academic career as associate professor of community and environmental studies at Washington State University" => "...started his academic career as assistant professor of sociology at Washington State University."
- "...where he was appointed Professor of Sociology and environmental policy He..." => "...where he was appointed professor and chair of environmental studies. He..."
- Thanks again, DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 21:26, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
- Done: looks all right to me, I have made the requested changes — crh 23 (Talk) 06:30, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- Sure, Crh23. Here are my suggested corrections:
