"F.W. Austin"
[edit]The flag-captain in HMS Canopus is given as "F.W. Austin". I suspect this is intended to be Francis William Austen, who had commanded Canopus at the Battle of San Domingo the previous year, but this site says Austen had been succeeded by Thomas George Shortland in June 1806; Shortland left in September 1807 and was succeeded by Charles Inglis in 1808.
