Page currently does not live up to Wikipedia's goal of neutrality, some editors are attempting to suppress balanced information
[edit]Users in the edit logs appear to be suppressing any citation that provides evidence of Peloton's performance possibly suffering during Treseder's marketing leadership, or any indication that certain marketing campaigns may have been ineffective.
In Wikipedia's "Biographies of living persons" document, the foremost principle for creating biographical content is maintaining a Neutral Point of View (NPOV). The performance of Peloton, which is highly relevant to the subject, exhibited a mixed record during the subject's marketing leadership. However, the initial information posted in the biography was overwhelmingly positive and lacked a neutral perspective.
Users FreeBirdie54 and 2600:1700:2b96:0:9db:c77a:7011:5be8 have consistently attempted to remove balanced information (such as purely objective citations of revenue growth) undermining the page's commitment to neutrality in biographies of public figures. These two users on one hand deem citations referring to declines in revenue growth as irrelevant or caused by extraneous sources, while on the other hand they attempt to selectively use the same data as evidence that the subject matter was hugely successful based on the same metric in a single quarter. It appears they are trying to have their cake and eat it too.
The accusations of vandalism by FreeBirdie54 are silly and unfounded. I have preserved all mentions of awards and major accomplishments in the biography as they were, while Users FreeBirdie54 and 2600:1700:2b96:0:9db:c77a:7011:5be8 have tried to suppress the presence of balanced information. A vandal typically has a specific agenda and aims to remove or manipulate content that contradicts that agenda. Ironically, this is precisely what logs show FreeBirdie54 and 2600:1700:2b96:0:9db:c77a:7011:5be8 have attempted to do in this case.
On 14:40, 2 August 2023, FreeBirdie54 cites Wikipedia's opinion policy as the reason for his or her edits, even though no personal views are highlighted or removed in the editing process. Additionally, during the edit the user dismisses a citation to Peloton's revenue growth as "nonsense," despite the fact that the numbers are verifiable and the subject herself, in an interview with AdAge just three months ago, stressed the importance of marketing leaders being judged by growth metrics.[1]
Furthermore, FreeBirdie54 appears to be displeased that information regarding the subject's emphasis on "music and community in marketing efforts" was included, even though it was originally added by user 2600:1700:2b96:0:9db:c77a:7011:5be8.
Biographical pages are intended to present a neutral and unbiased portrayal of their subjects. Their function is not as fan pages or platforms for self-promotion.
See balanced version below. When asked if the content has a neutral, negative or positive bias, AI platforms view this version as "neutral". Not so with the edits that have attempted to suppress balance.

Career
[edit]Treseder is currently the chief marketing officer of Autodesk[1], where according to Business Insider she has "pulled the company into the spotlight", "helped contribute to fourth-quarter revenue of $1.32 billion, up by 12% from the same period prior", as well as helped to increase the number of educators and students using Autodesk products from 55 million to 65 million.[2] She previously worked in executive roles at Apple and GE, as chief marketing officer at Carbon, and as SVP and head of global marketing, communications, and membership of exercise equipment company Peloton.[3][4][5]

Peloton
[edit]Treseder's transition to Peloton garnered high praise, with NPR hailing her as "one of the most influential marketing leaders of her generation."[1]Marie Claire magazine credited her as being behind the success of Peloton during the COVID-19 pandemic.[2] However, the credibility of this claim is questionable due to the fact that Peloton's revenue growth was already well established before Treseder joined.[3]
On a quarterly basis, comparing year to year, Peloton's revenue growth reached its highest point in Treseder's first full quarter with the company, but during the majority of her tenure, which emphasized music and community in marketing efforts,[4][5][6] revenue growth by the same metric slowed and eventually declined. [3]
In 2022, she was recognized by Forbes as the most influential CMO in the world, which cited her ability "to think and act quickly in response to the unforeseen" with regularity, and her "cultural attention". [7] Treseder received this recognition despite Peloton's negative year-over-year revenue growth and the underperformance of its stock, which at one point ranked among the 45 worst performers in the Russell 3000 index.[3][8]
Amid this challenging backdrop at Peloton, and weeks after a broader executive shakeout, Treseder announced that she would be leaving the company to take on the role of Chief Marketing Officer of Autodesk during the final quarter of that year.[9][10] An article published to Yahoo Finance suggests that this news may have negatively impacted the price of Peloton shares.[11] However, it's crucial to note that the value of Peloton stock had already declined significantly during the majority of Treseder's tenure, dropping by approximately 90% since her arrival on August 18, 2020, until her exit on October 4, 2022.[8][12][13] In the months following Treseder's departure, Peloton initially underwent a significant rebound in stock value, seeing the price of its its shares double, before the stock price declined again as a result of an analyst downgrade.[14][15]
In May 2023, Peloton announced a rebrand strategy, aiming to redefine itself as more than just a bike company by increasing awareness of non-bike products like Row and Guide, which marks a departure from Treseder's previous emphasis on the theme of "motivation." [16][17]

Delete the sentence below because the citations following the sentence do not relate to the specific metric "on a quarterly basis, year over year." The current sentence has been modified from a previous version that originally included a citation connecting to Peloton's year-over-year growth metrics. However, that link was later removed. The current citations do not substantiate the claim that "Peloton's revenue growth reached its highest point in Treseder's first full quarter with the company."
