Daihatsu Taft (offroader) → Daihatsu Taft (F10) – Mentioning the car by its model code, so it is more accurate with the model in question, similar to some Toyota-branded automobile articles (e.g. Toyota Corolla (E30), Toyota Corolla (E140), etc.) 182.30.128.228 (talk) 08:31, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
- Support. While there were also F20/25/50/55 models, naming it by the original model code is in line with policy as applied elsewhere. You ought to consider registering, it is more pleasant to communicate with an alias than with an ever changing anonymous number. Best, Mr.choppers | ✎ 06:27, 25 January 2020 (UTC)
- If the article was primarily about the F10 then I would agree. But if the article also covers the F20, F50 and F60 then it gets confusing. We can use redirects but it seems a bit weird to have an F50 link go to an F10 article. Better to have a generic name like 'Daihatsu Taft' or 'Daihatsu Taft (offroader)' and then have redirects for the F10/20/50/60. Stepho talk 07:51, 25 January 2020 (UTC)
- But the F50 &c are just variants of the F10, are they not? It would be analogous to Toyota Corolla (E30) which incorporates the E40, E50, and E60. Mr.choppers | ✎ 15:42, 25 January 2020 (UTC)

- The article isn't quite clear. Are the difference just the engine and maybe some minor trim/facelift? Stepho talk 21:34, 25 January 2020 (UTC)
- Engines, also lwb and swb's have different codes and pickups (sorry, utes) have a 5 at the end (F25, 55). The Taft did receive some facelifts but this was not reflected in the chassis codes, unless it coincided with the engine change. We should make a table some day. - In which case, I withdraw my objection. Stepho talk 07:03, 26 January 2020 (UTC)
