Which is the first official single?

[edit]

The listing for Let it Happen as a single keeps getting reverted. I've managed to get three sources [1] [2] [3] which state it is a single and the only case being made for it not being a single is this: [4]. There's also this [5] but it mentions both Let it Happen and Cause I'm a Man as lead/proper singles somehow. Can we make a decision here as to whether or not Let it Happen should be included in the single listing? AssortedLiquorice (talk) 00:15, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Also the Tame Impala template lists Let it Happen as a single. AssortedLiquorice (talk) 00:27, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

My Google search suggests that the general consensus is that the single is "Cause I'm a Man". I would suggest that "Let it Happen" was a promotional single.--Launchballer 19:58, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Should it be listed as a promotional single then or not listed at all? AssortedLiquorice (talk) 09:05, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Universal Music Australia as a label

[edit]

I think we should remove Universal Music Australia as a label from this page's lead and its infobox, because I don't think that's how music distribution works. Record corporations are the companies that own record labels, and record labels are the companies who release an album. That's why I think we should remove Universal from the page; because if we were to follow that rule, then albums released by Columbia Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, would have to say both Columbia AND Sony Music. But Sony Music is a corporation and not a label that owns Columbia Records. So I think only listing the label's name as the label on pages like that instead of including the corporation that owns the label as a label also, because I'm pretty sure the former would be the rational thing to do. Currents (Tame Impala album)Currents (album) – There are only two other albums mentioned on the disambiguation page titled Currents: the In Vain album is a redirect, which leaves us the Eisley album, in which, even going back to July 2015, the Tame Impala album overweighs it in pageviews by a ratio of almost 90:1. This, along with its numerous accolades and certifications, and also the fact that it continues to make Billboard year-end charts years later, makes this seem like a clear WP:PDABPRIMARY.
